What is AMD? Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD) is a common eye disease in older adults that affects central vision and can begin almost undetected. Annual eye exams by your eye care professional are especially important to catch this disease early and start treatments to retain as much usable vision as possible.
What is low vision? Low vision is used to describe a person’s vison in which visual acuity is 20/70 or greater and cannot be corrected with standard reading glasses or improved with surgery.
