Sight Savers America supports school children with low vision in Atlanta

June 17, 2015: Since 1997 Sight Savers America has been assisting children with low vision and is helping them to achieve their best in school and in their lives despite their challenges. They have provided over 375,000 children with eye care and over 1,200 children with low vision aids. Over the last few years Optelec has partnered with Sight Savers America to provide free electronic video magnifiers.

Optelec supports FORCE in Africa

In Africa, the number of visually impaired people is growing because of sickness, poverty and lack of knowledge about eye conditions and how to handle them. Just like Optelec, Force aims to provide blind and visually impaired children and adults with tools so they can read and learn. We support their mission and have donated FarViews to the Illulaschool, so these children have better access to education and get the chance to learn and build an independent living.
