Everyday Solutions

Did you know that blindness and low vision impact nearly 300 million people globally?  Since 1975 our family of brands has been focused on delivering simple yet effective solutions to make life more accessible.  Have you or a loved one been impacted by an eye condition limiting your ability to participate in everyday activities?  We are here to help!

Lighting

Good lighting is essential! One of the most significant ways to make reading, writing, and crafts easier is adequate lighting.  Incorporating lighting around your house that offers control over brightness and light temperature improves contrast and can reduce the amount of magnification needed to read or perform daily activities.

Filter Lenses

More than just sunglasses, filter lenses can protect your eyes from harmful UVA/UVB rays by selectively filtering out the blue light while maintaining all other spectral colors.  Designed for indoor and outdoor use, filter lenses help to reduce glare and improve contrast which is greatly needed for those with glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, or diabetic retinopathy.

Magnification

A wide array of magnification aids is available, including simple pocket and handheld optical magnifiers—perfect for spot-reading, and the more versatile digital magnifiers—suitable for longer reading sessions.  When choosing an optical magnifier, it is essential to talk to your eye care professional—such as an Optometrist, low vision specialist, or Ophthalmologist.  Your eye care professional will be your best source in finding which magnification level will work for your vision.  Digital magnification offers you adjustable magnification, a large viewing area, and a variety of contrast colors, allowing you to find the right magnification.
