The Essex County Council Specialist Teaching and Preschool Service have published a case study, reporting on the success of providing one of their pupils with the Traveller HD portable video magnifier. The pupil has cone dystrophy and high bilateral myopia and had been making slow academic progress.  

Following an assessment, the Optelec Traveller HD was provided, resulting in the gap of attainment closing between him and his peers. The pupil described the Traveller HD as "the best bit of kit ever".
